Hyderabad Ganesh Visarjan: How to join the grand procession and where to park your vehicles amid beefed-up security

Hyderabad gets ready to celebrate Ganesh Visarjan in full fervour, keeping the cops on their toes to stay alert and ensure public safety. 

Amid the beefed-up security arrangements, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit the city on September 6, on the occasion of Ganesh Visarjan. 

According to the Sisasat Daily, the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Committee had invited him to participate as the Chief Guest for the Ganesh Visarajan procession “Shobha Yatra” to be taken out on Saturday (September 6).

Meanwhile, Hyderabad Traffic Police issued a notice on their social media handles to inform the public about the diversions to relieve the congestion and maintain a smooth flow of traffic. 

The main procession route is from  Balapur → Katta Maisamma Temple → Keshavagiri → Chandrayangutta → Falaknuma Rly Bridge → Aliabad → Charminar → Afzalgunj → Abids → Basheerbagh → Liberty → Ambedkar Statue → NTR Marg & PVNR Marg (Necklace Road). According to officials, no other traffic will be allowed on the main routes between 6 am on September 6 and 10 am on September 7. 

People who would like to participate in the Ganesh Visarjan can park their vehicles near NTR Stadium, Katta Maisamma Temple, Lower Tank Bund, Public Gardens, Behind Buddha Bhavan (Necklace Road), Adarsh Nagar Road (via Kalanjali), BRK Bhavan & GHMC Office Road, Institute of Engineers, Khairatabad and MMTS Khairatabad. 

Around 25,000 police personnel have been deployed for the smooth conduct of the festival, reported The Siasat Daily.
