Drugged, stabbed: Man's genitals cut off by second wife over out-of-marriage relationship in Amethi

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being stabbed several times by his wife over an alleged illicit relationship in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi on Sunday, according to reports. The woman reportedly cut off the man's genitals before fleeing the scene.

Ansar Ali of Maigalganj Kachanav village had been on bad terms with his second wife since she discovered his extramarital affair. The couple had frequent arguments over the matter after she was informed of Ali's infidelity. One such clash turned violent on Sunday when the woman stabbed Ali repeatedly after castrating him.

According to a report by Lokmat, the woman did not confront her physically superior husband directly. Instead, she allegedly drugged him first, and when he was unable to defend himself, she used a sharp weapon to mutilate his private parts before stabbing him repeatedly. His condition remains critical due to the brutal nature of the attack, the report added. The UP Police are yet to track down the woman, who is on the run after committing the crime.

In a similar incident last December, a woman had attacked her boyfriend who wanted to end their relationship to marry another woman. The couple had a fight in a Muzaffarnagar hotel room as the man tried to explain why they should part ways, and the woman, in a fit of rage, pulled out a knife and attacked him before chopping off his genitals, news reports said.
