Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday asserted India’s decisive victory in Operation Sindoor, saying that his promise to avenge the ‘sindoor’ of his daughters had been fulfilled with the blessings of Lord Mahadev.
Addressing a rally in Varanasi, his Lok Sabha constituency, Modi said his heart was filled with sorrow for the 26 people who lost their lives in the Pahalgam terror attack.
"This is the first time I have come to Kashi after Operation Sindoor,” the prime minister said. “I had pledged to take revenge for my daughters' sindoor, and I fulfilled it with the blessings of Mahadev. I dedicate the success of Operation Sindoor at the feet of Mahadev”.
Modi claimed that the unity of the 140 crore countrymen became the strength of Operation Sindoor, which showed the world India's fierce form. "Whoever attacks India won't survive even in hell," he said.
The prime minister noted that the Indian drones and missiles destroyed the terror headquarters, and many Pakistan air bases are still lying in the ICU.
"If Pakistan commits any sin again, missiles made in UP will destroy the terrorists. This is New India, which worships Bholenath and also turns Kal Bhairav against its enemies," said the prime minister.

Modi also launched a scathing attack on the opposition over their attempts to corner the government over US President Donald Trump's claim that he brokered the ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
"Congress and its friends cannot digest that India destroyed terrorist hideouts in Pakistan," he said. "Like Pakistan, the Congress and the SP, too, are crying seeing the condition of terrorists".
Modi accused the Congress of constantly insulting the armed forces' valour, and alleged that the opposition party had even called Operation Sindoor a 'tamasha'.
"The SP is also not lagging in appeasement politics. They questioned in Parliament why the Pahalgam attackers were killed now," he said.
