The Election Commission of India (ECI) will declare the dates for Assembly elections in three states - Nagaland, Meghalaya and Tripura - on Wednesday afternoon.
According to an ECI statement, the press conference will be held at 2:30 pm at Akashwani Bhavan in the national capital.
While the tenure of Nagaland Legislative Assembly is scheduled to end on March 12, that of Meghalaya and Tripura will end on March 15 and March 22, respectively.
The three northeastern states are part of the nine states which will see Assembly elections this years. Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Telangana will also go to the polls in 2023.
