Back in Gujarat, Modi to cover 50 kms in 3-hour-long roadshow today

The Prime Minister will make atleast 35 stops during the roadshow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is back in Gujarat on Thursday for the second phase of campaigning. The Prime Minister, who returned to his home state after two days, has scheduled a mega road show in Ahmedabad city.

As per BJP sources, Modi's roadshow will start from the Naroda Gam area on the eastern side of Ahmedabad around 3:30 pm and end at the IOC circle in the Chandkheda area on the city's western side around 6:30 pm. The Ahmedabad region will vote in the second phase of elections on December 5.

The roadshow will pass through various parts of the city including Hirawadi, Hatkeshwar, Maninagar, Danilimda, Jivraj Park, Ghatlodia, Naranpura and Sabarmati. It will cover 13 seats of Ahmedabad city as well as Gandhinagar-South, a statement by the BJP said. 

Modi will make atleast 35 stops, including at the memorials of prominent personalities like Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay, Sardar Vallabhai Patel and Subhash Chandra Bose during the roadshow. 

Meanwhile, voting is underway on Thursday for the first phase of elections in 89 seats of Saurashtra and south Gujarat regions, while the polling in the remaining 93 seats including 16 of Ahmedabad city will take place on December 5.
