Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that obstacles will be created to stop the the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) work, but there is no need to panic. He was responding to CBI raids at Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's house in connection with the liquor policy case.

Delhi Police imposed section 144 around Sisodia's residence on Friday, and detained AAP workers gathered outside the deputy CM's house.

During an online briefing, Kejriwal said the raids will not affect the party. "Many obstacles will be created in our path in our mission. This is not the first raid on Sisodia; there were raids in the past too. There have been raids also on many of our ministers and me too, but nothing came out of them and nothing will come out this time as well," he said.

He further said: "There is no need to panic since there will be obstacles to stop our work. The CBI has been asked from above to harass us," Kejriwal said. He hailed his deputy Manish Sisodia as the best education minister in the world after his name was featured on the front page of New York Times. "It is a matter of pride for the country that Manish Sisodia's name is on the front page of the biggest newspaper of the most powerful country in the world," he said.

AAP national spokesperson Sanjay Singh said the alleged irregularities in the formulation of excise policy are just an excuse to put the CBI after Sisodia. “The real issue here is the growing popularity of Arvind Kejriwal and his Delhi model of governance in the education and healthcare sectors,” he said. Days after Delhi Health Minister Satyender Jain, who gave the Delhi model of mohalla clinic to the world, was jailed by the Enforcement Directorate, the prime minister has put the CBI after Sisodia, the party charged.

Slamming the BJP government at the Centre, AAP MP Raghav Chadha said: “We used to speak of 2 models - Education & Healthcare. To stop this, Health Minister Satyendar Jain was jailed and they're preparing to jail Manish Sisodia too. They want to destroy our models of Health and Education and arrest ministers so that Kejriwal model is destroyed: AAP MP Raghav Chadha

Kejriwal also launched the 'missed call' campaign to make India the number one country. He issued a phone number for people who are willing to join the mission."We announced the mission to 'Make India Number One Country' in the world on Wednesday. People must join this mission by giving a missed call on 9510001000. We cannot leave the country to political parties. We have to come together," he said.
