The Italian couple who tested positive for the coronavirus on Monday was confirmed to have visited six districts in Rajasthan before being kept in the isolation ward in a Jaipur hospital.
The 69-year-old Italian man and his wife had landed in Delhi on February 21, and pushed off to Jhunjhunu district. The next day they visited Bikaner and proceeded to Jaisalmer on February 23. They visited Jodhpur and Udaipur over the next couple of days before making it to Jaipur on February 28.
After reaching Jaipur, the man tested positive for the coronavirus and was kept in isolation at Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh hospital. His wife was later confirmed to have contracted the virus. They were part of a group of 20 tourists, out of which 15 have tested positive for the virus. Their condition is being monitored as they continue to be under observation.
