The group of people objected to the post and went to Faisan's house on Thursday night and questioned him, police said. Faisan told The New Indian Express: I know the people who attacked me. They were brutal and their intention seemed to have gone beyond a mere assault. It was only the arrival of a police patrol vehicle that saved me.”
After a quarrel, they attacked him, police said. Faisan was injured and admitted to the government hospital.
On the orders of district Superintendent of Police T.K. Rajasekaran, Kilvelur police registered a case and arrested four people Friday—Dinesh Kumar (28), Agathian (29), Ganeshkumar (27) and Mohankumar (28).
