Even as the BJP and the Congress are trading barbs over the alleged irregularities in the Rafale deal, the grand old party has come out with a list of 26 scams to target the ruling party.

With the assembly elections to five states and the Lok Sabha elections fast approaching, Divya Spandana, the social media head of the Congress party, tweeted a list of “All the scams and corruption of Modi and his Govt”, with images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a few Union ministers and other prominent BJP leaders.

The scams, which appear in alphabetical order include Adani power scam, Jay Shah scam, Rafale deal, Vyapam scam and Nirav Modi scam among others. While Modi's photo is used twice—for GSPC scam and Rafale scam—Union ministers Smriti Irani, Prakash Javadekar, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, opposition leader in Karnataka assembly B.S. Yeddyurappa and Anandiben Patel are among the others who made it to the list.

The tweet was shared by more than a thousand Twitter users.

The list of scams was tweeted a few hours after Congress president Rahul Gandhi said the "fun has just begun" while taking on the BJP government over the Rafale deal. The party chief added that in the months to come, his party would expose how various initiatives—including demonetisation and “Gabbar Singh Tax”—by the Union government under Modi were scams. "There is 'chori' (theft) in the works of Narendra Modi—Rafale, Vijay Mallya, Lalit Modi, Notebandi (demonetisation), Gabbar Singh Tax (referring to GST). There is theft in all these. One by one, we will prove that Narendra Modi ji is not a 'chowkidaar'. Narendra Modi is a 'chor' (thief)," Rahul Gandhi said.
