In an insensitive act, a youth on Monday barged into the intensive care unit of a hospital in Kodungalloor where Hanan Hamid, the Kochi girl whose life story had become viral recently, was undergoing treatment after she met with an accident. He did this with the intention to make a viral video.
Rajesh Raman, a native of Methala village in Kodungalloor, breached the hospital security and Hanan's privacy in a bid to make a viral content. Rajesh barged into the intensive care unit of Kodungalloor Modern Hospital and went live on Facebook with Hanan, against the restrictions imposed by the hospital authorities and doctors.
The video, which went viral on social media within minutes, however, attracted much criticism.
Authorities of Modern Hospital informed the police immediately about the incident, though a formal complaint hasn't been registered yet. In the video, Rajesh is seen forcing Hanan to speak about her condition.

Hanan is seen helplessly narrating her condition even as indirectly conveying her unwillingness to appear before the camera. Hanan was initially admitted to the Kodungalloor hospital and was later transferred to Ernakulam Medical Trust for better treatment.
Rajesh posted his live video on the verified official page of a popular Facebook channel. In the video, he asserted that Hanan suffered only minor injuries in the accident.
However, the authorities of the Medical Trust hospital confirmed that the young Kochi girl has fractured her twelfth vertebra in the mishap, which left both of her legs numb. The orthopedic and neurological departments have jointly published a health bulletin of Hanan which says that the doctors are proceeding with an immediate spinal surgery to correct the fracture and compression to Hanan's vertebra.
Hanan shot into limelight after media reports showed her selling fish in her college uniform to make both ends meet.
