The long wait to see Anurag Kashyap's 2023 film Kennedy is soon coming to an end. The gritty crime thriller, which stars Rahul Bhat ("Ugly", "Black Warrant") as an insomniac ex-cop-turned-killer, will be officially available for Indian streaming subscribers on Zee5.
The platform announced on its social media handles that the movie, which has Sunny Leone playing the female lead, will begin streaming soon. A teaser has also been unveiled.
Anurag shared the same post, captioning it, "Finally, our labour of love, angst and all things in between, Kennedy is coming home after travelling the world on Zee5. All I can say is I am grateful for having been able to make this film , my team , my producers , my Studio and at the end of the day - jab jab Jo Jo hona hai tab tab so so hota hai."
An official release date has yet to be announced.
Though Kennedy was made four years ago and conceived during the lockdown, the film's release follows Anurag's most recently made two-parter crime saga, Nishaanchi.
The film had a long festival run after it premiered in 2023 at the Cannes Film Festival in the Midnight Screenings section.
It then had the distinction of being the only Indian film selected in the first lineup of films selected by Letterboxd for the launch of its online video Store in December 2025. However, the platform didn't make it available for streaming in India despite its accessibility in other international territories.
