After Prabhas's 'The RajaSaab', Boman Irani joins Ram Charan's 'Peddi'

Directed by National Award-winner Buchi Babu Sana, the film boasts a stellar ensemble including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jagapathi Babu. With music by A.R. Rahman and backing from top production houses, the movie is set for a March 27, 2026 release

Ram Charan-starrer Peddi has added an esteemed veteran actor to the cast. An official still of Boman Irani from the sets of the Buchi Babu Sana directorial was shared by the film's cinematographer R Rathnavelu. In the picture, the duo is posing alongside the director.

Peddi marks Irani's next high-profile South Indian project after Prabhas' The RajaSaab. The latter is awaiting its theatrical release on January 9, 2026.

Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead in Peddi. The other principal cast members include Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu Sharma in pivotal roles.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and backed by Mythri Movie Makers, director Sukumar's company Sukumar Writings, and producer Venkata Satish Kilaru's Vriddhi Cinemas, Peddi marks Ram Charan's 16th film. AR Rahman is the composer. Peddi has production design by Avinash Kolla and editing by Navin Nooli.

The movie will hit theatres on March 27, 2026.

Buchi Babu Sana is a National Award winner, for Best Telugu feature film, for his maiden feature Uppena (2021). Before his debut, he worked as an assistant director and writer on Sukumar's hit film Rangasthalam. Naturally, Sukumar's involvement as a producer on both Peddi and Uppena doesn't come as a surprise.

The title reveal of the film was accompanied by a first glimpse of Charan's rustic look which comprises a long hair, beard, nose ring, and a cigar. Naturally, netizens were quick to compare the look to that of Allu Arjun's in the two Pushpa films, given how the latter sported a similarly unkempt look in the blockbusters directed by Sukumar.
