Nivin Pauly is well and truly back. At least, that's what the initial trends for Sarvam Maya are indicating. The film took a superb start on Christmas Day, making full use of the holiday release and positive promos to rake in Rs 3.50 crore on the opening day in Kerala. With encouraging word-of-mouth, the film then showed considerable growth on the second day despite it being a working day.
The advance booking for the second day in itself was higher than Christmas Day, which was proof of the film being accepted. Eventually, the film ended grossing Rs 4.20 crore on its second day, which is a 20 percent jump in numbers. With weekend kicking in, Sarvam Maya is rocking on its third day, taking full advantage of the Saturday and vacation season.
The advance booking for Day 3 was in itself approximately 30 percent higher than the second day and with more screens-shows being added, the film is clearly the Christmas winner at the Kerala box office. Early estimates are hinting at a possible Rs 5 crore day for Sarvam Maya, which is an excellent trend for the film with Sunday and the New Year still to come.
Sarvam Maya is looking at a four-day Kerala gross of Rs 18-19 crore and the overseas start has also been great for the film with Gulf showing superb trends. Considering all territories, the Nivin Pauly starrer is aiming for a Rs 45 crore worldwide gross in its opening four-day weekend.
With no major competition at all and solid word-of-mouth, Sarvam Maya could become Nivin's first Rs 100 crore grosser if this momentum sustains for two weeks globally. Regardless, these early trends have confirmed a SUPERHIT.
