'Sarvam Maya' box office collection day 2: Nivin Pauly starrer set to have higher collections than opening day

Nivin Pauly's Sarvam Maya is showing impressive early trends at the box office with the second day set to be higher than the opening day

Nivin Pauly's 'Sarvam Maya' is having an excellent second day at the Kerala box office

Sarvam Maya has taken a strong start the box office and the initial word-of-mouth seems to be highly encouraging. The Nivin Pauly starrer collected Rs 3.45 crore on its opening day in Kerala, surpassing trade expectations, given that it is a small-scale feel-good film without any mass-masala elements. Such films generally don't open big, especially when the lead hero is going through a rought patch.

However, Sarvam Maya had impressive promos and a good vibe to it, leading to superb advance booking for the opening day. With the initial word-of-mouth being on the positive side, Sarvam Maya did really well to go past the opening of Hridayapoorvam which is another film of the same genre. Of course, that film had to face a same-day clash with Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, so screen count was hampered.

Nevertheless, Sarvam Maya endured a superb opening day and the second day numbers look even more encouraging. The advance booking for the second day, a working Friday, is much higher than its opening day which was a Christmas holiday. These are impressive trends and the film should clock the Rs 4 crore mark today with a chance of reaching Rs 4.50 crore as well.

The film has seen an increase in screen count and show count on the second day due to public demand. There should be a further surge across the weekend and the weekdays would also collect well with New Year falling on Thursday. The four-day weekend should easily be above Rs 15 crore in Kerala and should be around Rs 17-18 crore.

The tracked gross of Sarvam Maya on the first day was Rs 3.17 crore and the film has already crossed Rs 2.59 crore at 5 pm with prime time shows still left in the tank. This should tell you the positive momentum for the film.
