Prabhas' next titled 'Fauzi', to tell 'bravest tale of a solider from hidden chapters of history'

Hanu Raghavapudi of 'Sita Ramam' fame is directing the period epic which has Imanvi Ismail starring as the female lead

On the occasion of Prabhas' birthday on Oct. 23, an announcement of the star's new big-scale movie has been made. Fans have been speculating the title of the Hanu Raghavapudi directorial, officially revealed as Fauzi, ever since the makers let out clues. However, reports of 'Fauzi' (or Fauji) being the title have been floating online for a while. Mythri Movie Makers, known for Allu Arjun's Pushpa movies and Ajith Kumar's Good, Bad, Ugly, is bankrolling the project.

Raghavapudi is known for Sita Ramam, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur. Fauzi, too, is set in an earlier period, reportedly in the 1940s before India's independence and the Second World War. Prabhas is presumably playing a freedom fighter, "a battalion who walks alone," and "the bravest tale of a soldier from the hidden chapters of our history."

Sharing the first-look poster on 'X', Raghavapudi wrote, "Happy Birthday to our dearest #Prabhas garu. Taking pride in presenting you as #FAUZI, this journey so far has been unforgettable and only promises to get bigger from here! FAUZI - The bravest tale of a soldier from the hidden chapters of our history."

Imanvi Ismail, an Indian-American dancer and choreographer, has been cast as the female lead. Vishal Chandrasekhar is on board as the composer.

Aside from Fauzi, Prabhas is also looking forward to his rom-com horror fantasy epic The RajaSaab, which is slated for release on 9 January 2026. Directed by Maruthi, the big-scale adventure, which has Prabhas in a dual role, also features Malavika Mohanan, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Niddhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar in lead roles.

Bankrolled by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, The RajaSaab has music by Thaman S (Game Changer, Daaku Maharaaj).
