Popular Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda sustained serious injuries after meeting with an accident on his way to Shimla on Saturday. The accident took place in Baddi in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh.
A Punjabnewsexpress report said the accident happened when stray dogs came onto the road.
He is undergoing treatment at Fortis Hospital in Mohali.
According to media reports, the doctors said his condition remains critical as he suffered head injuries.
Rajvir Jawanda was on his bike when the accident took place. His bike was severely damaged in the accident. The singer was initially rushed to a nearby facility, and after initial treatment, the singer was taken to Fortis Hospital.
Fellow artists from Punjab, including Kulwinder Billa and Kanwar Grewal, have reached the hospital to support the family members of Rajvir Jawanda. He is married and has two children.
The hospital is yet to come out with a statement on the condition of the singer.
Rajvir Jawanda is a popular Punjabi singer and actor known for his several hits in the Punjabi music industry, including recent songs like "Tu Dis Painda" and "Rabb Karke". The singer is also popular for his folk songs.
"Deeply concerned to hear about the accident of Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda ji. Praying for his speedy recovery and good health. May Waheguru bless him with strength and healing," Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring wrote in a social media post.
