Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra, which has become the all-time highest grossing Malayalam film worldwide, has crossed Rs 280 crore worldwide on Wednesday.
On Day 28, the Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer netted Rs 47 lakh in domestic collection, taking the total net India collection to Rs 140.72 crore, according to Sacnilk.
The gross domestic collection was recorded at Rs 164.2 crore while the overseas collection was Rs 116 crore.
Besides Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra, only Mohanlal's Empuraan has entered the Rs 250 crore club in Mollywood. Manjummel Boys and Thudarum have crossed Rs 200 crore while 2018, Aadu Jeevitham and Aavesham have minted more than Rs 150 crore. Rs 100 crore club movies in Malayalam include Premalu and Lucifer.
Produced by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films at a budget of around Rs 30 crore, the movie saw its earnings improving during the weekend. On Saturday, Lokah Chapter: 1 Chandra bagged Rs 3.25 crore in net domestic collection while on Sunday, it minted Rs 4.1 crore.
However, during weekdays the collections dropped again. The movie raked in Rs 1.25 crore on Monday and 1.15 crore on Tuesday.
