Despite mixed reviews, Lokesh Kanagaraj movie Coolie starring Rajinikanth has joined the ₹200 crore club in net domestic box office collection on Day 5, based on figures from morning and afternoon shows.
Adding ₹5.6 crore on Day 5, Coolie has minted a total of ₹200.1 crore in net collection in India so far, based on figures available till 6 pm, reports Sacnilk.
On the other hand, War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR has bagged another ₹4.38 crore on Day 5 till 6 pm, taking its total net domestic collection to ₹179.13 crore, according to Sacnilk.

Compared to the performance during the extended week since its release, both Coolie and War 2 saw lukewarm response from fans. The Lokesh film collected a net ₹65 crore at the domestic box office on Day 1 when it the theatres on August 14. The same day Ayan Mukerji directorial raked in ₹52 crore net in India, as per Sacnilk figures.
The following day, which was Independence Day, Coolie plunged around 16 per cent to ₹54.75 crore while War 2 saw an climbed 10 per cent by minting 57.35 crore. Both movies failed to woo moviegoers on August 16 with the Rajinikanth starrer tumbling nearly 28 per cent to 39.5 crore in while the Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR film tanked more than 42 per cent to 33.25 crore.
On Sunday, Coolie slumped another 10 per cent, collecting ₹35.25 crore while War 2 dropped just over 3 per cent, bagging 32.15 crore.
Besides Rajinikanth, Coolie also stars Nagarjuna, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj and Soubin Shahir with a guest role from Aamir Khan. However, critics felt that the ensemble cast did not fit well in the storyline.
