Israeli swimmers perform to Madhuri Dixit's 'Aaja Nachle' at Tokyo Olympics; netizens impressed

Many on Twitter asked the Bollywood actor if she has seen the performance

Israeli swimmers Eden Blecher and Shelly Bobritsky, competing in the artistic swimming duet free routine preliminary at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre on Tuesday, performed to Bollywood actor  Madhuri Dixit's popular number 'Aaja Nachle'.

The song is from 2007 movie of the same name, Aaja Nachle—the film that marked the comeback of the actor after a gap of five years, after the 2002 superhit Devdas.

While the swimmers could not qualify for the finals of the event, they managed to win the heart of netizens.

Many on Twitter asked the Bollywood actor if she has seen the performance.

"Thank you so much Team Israel for this!!! You have no idea how excited I was to hear and see this!!," said one user.

The artistic swimming competition consists of a free routine that lasts for three to four months, and a technical routine that involves five designated movements that lasts for over two minutes. The participants are scored on the basis of their synchronisation, technique, choreography and difficulty.
