Shah Rukh Khan’s NGO donates 20,000 N95 masks to Kerala

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s NGO Mir Foundation has extended support to Kerala in its fight against COVID-19. The foundation has donated 20,000 N95 masks to Kerala.

In a press release, Kerala’s Health Minister K.K. Shailaja said, “Famous Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's Meer Foundation donated 20,000 N95 masks for COVID-19 defence activities in Kerala. Movie stars Indrajith and Rajshree Deshpande briefed Shah Rukh Khan.”

Mir Foundation has been actively supporting different state governments in the fight against the pandemic. 

Earlier, Khan had donated 25,000 PPE kits to the frontline healthcare workers of Maharashtra.

Kerala has been putting up a tough fight against COVID-19. With 7,000 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, Kerala became the sixth state in the country to record more than five lakh infections till now.
