Comedian Kunal Kamra shares controversial docu on Ram temple ahead of Ayodhya verdict

Even as the Supreme Court is expected to pronounce the judgment in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute this month, Kunal Kamra, a popular stand-up comedian shared on his Twitter handle, controversial documentary Ram Ke Naam.

Directed by Anand Patwardhan, Ram Ke Naam chronicles Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) campaign to demolish the Babri Masjid and build a temple to Rama in its place. A winner of several national and international awards, the documentary also shows BJP veteran L.K. Advani’s rath yatra to garner support for the cause.

Sharing the document on his Twitter handle, Kunal Kamra, popular for his stand-up gigs on politics and related issues, wrote: “A brilliant documentary made by Anand Patwardhan in 1991 most relevant today.”

The tweet was widely shared by his followers who called it a 'must-watch documentary'.

The stand-up comic, sharing the documentary on his YouTube channel, wrote: “We are not uploading this documentary to hurt your sentiments, but if your sentiments can be hurt so easily with facts, I'd like to advise you to work on your sentiments.”
