Whenever an issue of importance happen, people are curious to know about the views of celebrities. Their views get widespread attention. Most of the times, they also face trolling for their opinions.

Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor recently faced the wrath of trolls when she shared her stance on the abrogation of Article 370.

In an interview to a television channel, the actor had said," I think it's very complicated and I don't understand it as much because there is so much contrasting news, contrary news, everywhere, so I don't really know what the truth is. I believe in having a peaceful discourse and understanding of what's going on. So when I have the complete information is when I can give an opinion.”

She further said, "I am half-Sindhi and Half-Peshawari, so it's heartbreaking to see that part of my culture is something that I can't explore as well because of that (the Kashmir conflict).

As expected, her comments did not go down well with a section of people. She was trolled and called a leftist, with some users even going to the extent of calling her 'stupid'. Another user claimed that Bollywood is full of 'naxals'.

The actor wasn't ready to take the trolls lying down. Taking to Twitter, she retorted sharply, saying, “Guys please calm down.. and get a life. Twisting, misinterpreting and understanding what you want from what someone has to say isn’t a reflection on the person who says it but on you. So self reflect and see who you are and hopefully get a job.”
