National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, on Friday, hailed the precision and planning with which the Indian armed forces carried out Operation Sindoor and said India hit nine terror targets crisscrossing Pakistan and missed none of them. He also came out all guns blazing against foreign media over their coverage of the recent India-Pakistan military conflict.
Lauding India's capability and technological abilities in neutralising the threats from across the border, the NSA, while speaking at the convocation ceremony at IIT Madras, said precision was to the point that India knew who was where, and the entire operation lasted hardly 23 minutes on May 7. He said India avoided civilian and military casualties during Operation Sindoor.
India launched the military offensive Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack to dismantle terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The armed forces targeted nine terrorist camps across the Line of Control and deeper inside Pakistan using a combination of air and missile strikes.

Doval also slammed the foreign press for their reportage on the operation, saying, "Foreign press said that Pakistan did that and this...You tell me one photograph, one image, which shows any damage to any Indian (structure), even a glass pane having been broken...They wrote these things and put out things...The images only showed 13 air bases in Pakistan before and after 10th May, whether it was in Sargodha, Rahim Yar Khan, Chaklala."
"I am only telling you what the foreign media put out on the basis of images...We are capable of doing that (damage to Pakistani air bases)," he added.
He also highlighted the importance of developing indigenous defence equipment, noting that India had effectively used such equipment in the recent military standoff with Pakistan. "We have to develop our indigenous technology. Mention of Sindoor was made here. We are really proud of how much indigenous content was there."
