Indian Air Force's Su-30 MKI fighters, IL-78 & C-17 aircraft in Greece for 15-nation war drill INIOCHOS-25

IAF’s Su-30 MKIs, IL-78, and C-17 join Greece’s INIOCHOS-25, a multinational air exercise aimed at enhancing combat skills, interoperability, and global defense cooperation among 15 nations

Su-30 MKI fighters along with combat enabler IL-78 & C-17 aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) will be participating in the multi-national air exercise INIOCHOS-25, hosted by the Hellenic Air Force, the air force of Greece.

The biennial multinational air exercise, to be held from Monday to April 11, will take place at Andravida Air Base in Greece, and will see participation from 15 countries.

The exercise will serve as a platform for air forces to hone their skills, exchange tactical knowledge, and strengthen defence relations. It will also help enhance international cooperation, synergy and interoperability among participating air forces.

“The exercise will integrate multiple air and surface assets from 15 countries under realistic combat scenarios, designed to simulate modern-day air warfare challenges,” the defence ministry stated in a release.

The defence ministry said the exercise will offer IAF an opportunity to train in planning and executing combined air operations, refine tactics in complex air warfare scenarios, and gain insights into operational best practices.

“With all operations conducted from Andravida, IAF's participation will not only strengthen its operational capabilities but also contribute to mutual learning and enhanced coordination among participating countries,” the ministry said.

Claiming that the IAF's participation in the exercise reflects its commitment to global defence cooperation and operational excellence, the ministry said INIOCHOS-25 will further reinforce India's strategic partnerships and bolster its capabilities in joint operations with friendly nations.
