Twitter usage at all-time high, claims Elon Musk

He hoped that 'the severs don't melt'

Barely weeks after billionaire Elon Musk took over social media giant Twitter, in a $44 billion deal, he claimed that Twitter usage is all-time high.

"Twitter usage is at an all-time high lol," he said in a tweet.

In another tweet, Musk said he hoped that the servers don't melt.

The claim comes after Musk announced that the verification blue tick will now be charged $8 a month. The blue tick feature is expected to be rolled out in India within a month.

A blue tick signifies that a particular Twitter account is verified because it is notable in government, news, entertainment, or another designated category.

A few days ago, Musk d claimed that Twitter is simply the most interesting place on the Internet and added that that is the reason people are reading his tweet right now.

Meanwhile, there have been mass layoffs at the company with the Indian arm of Twitter reportedly letting go of nearly 90 per cent of its employees.
