K'taka govt non-profit felicitate first cohort of administrative fellowship graduates

     Bengaluru, Dec 12 (PTI) The Karnataka government and a non-profit organisation on Monday announced the graduation of the inaugural cohort of 'Indian Administrative Fellowship', as part of which 10 senior corporate executives supported senior bureaucrats in state departments to address "critical developmental challenges".<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Aimed at building robust public-private collaborations to augment capacity and deliver effective governance, the state government in July 2021 had welcomed 10 top corporate executives from the private sector to work alongside high-ranking bureaucrats through the fellowship, a first-of-its-kind programme by The/Nudge Institute.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The inaugural cohort today completed their 18-month term with the government by creating "highly successful" outcomes, and were felicitated by Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot at Raj Bhavan here, The/Nudge Institute said in a release.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It said, the fellows, each with stellar careers of 20-plus years, have worked on key departmental priorities and projects infusing into the work, ideas, innovation, efficiency and technology.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Their contributions have resulted in creation of technology frameworks in Women and Child Development, go to market strategies and brand creation for FPO produce and agritech innovations for farmer beneficiaries among others, it added.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Indian Administrative Fellowship is an initiative of The/Nudge to augment the capacity of government institutions with senior executives from the corporate sector (fellows).<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Each fellow brings strategic acumen, entrepreneurial drive as well as execution capability to steer large-scale multi-stakeholder programs/initiatives, it said.
