Kalindi College's GB chairman proposes enquiry into corruption charges against principal

New Delhi, May 23 (PTI) The chairman of Kalindi College's governing body has proposed setting up a committee headed by a judicial authority to probe into the corruption allegations against the college's officiating principal and administration.
The move came after a member of Delhi University's Academic Council wrote to Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh and Kalindi College's governing body detailing the "continuous irregularities" being committed by officiating principal Naina Hasija.
"Chairman of governing body -- Ravi Gupta -- has proposed the constitution of a committee headed by a judicial authority to look into the allegations," a source told PTI on Monday.
In the letter last month, Naveen Gaur, the elected member of DU's Academic Council, called for a free, fair, impartial and time-bound public enquiry into the functioning of the Kalindi College administration and the conduct of its officiating principal.
Sources informed that an "emergency meeting" was called on May 6 after the matter came to light.
"However, the meeting was adjourned by the principal, who is also the secretary of the governing body," one of the sources said.
Thereafter, the governing body chairman sent a communication to the rest of the members, proposing constitution of a committee to investigate the allegations. PTI VA SMN
