Ex-employee who stole firm's data sold to competitor arrested

    Noida (UP), Nov 30 (PTI) An ex-employee, accused of stealing data of a US-based recruitment firm and selling it to its competitor, was arrested here Friday, police said.
    The accused, Arun Kumar Pandey, in his late 20s, was arrested near Sab Mall in Sector 27 of the city, a police official said.
    A complaint was made by the director of Recruitment Crew 1 Technology India, located in Sector 4, on November 22 after which an FIR was registered, Station House Officer, Sector 20 police station, Manoj Kumar Pant said.
    “A team was formed by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Ajay Pal Sharma, to probe the case and raids were being conducted to nab the accused and his associate,” Pant said.
    The associate, identified as Ankur Dixit, is a resident of Pandav Nagar in Delhi and raids are being carried out to arrest him, the official said.
    Pandey has been booked under Indian Penal Code sections 147, 420 (fraud), 408 (criminal breach of trust by clerk or servant), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), and related offences, the police said.
    Charges under section 66 of the Information Technology Act, for computer related offences, have also been pressed against the accused, the police said.  PTI KIS
