Tecno ropes in Ayushmann Khurrana as brand ambassador
     New Delhi, Apr 15 (PTI) Smartphone maker Tecno on Thursday said it has appointed Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana as its brand ambassador.
     The brand is a part of Transsion Holdings that also operates Itel and Infinix.
     Khurrana's penchant to break barriers and carve a niche for himself resonate with Tecno's brand philosophy of never stop the pursuit of excellence, a statement said.
     "I am looking forward to this association with Tecno, a smartphone brand that has been trying to break barriers since its inception to provide true value to the Indian consumers. As an actor, I understand the importance of perfection and giving the best to our audiences," Khurrana said.

Online grocery retail chain SuperK raises Rs 6 cr seed fund for infra expansion
     * Online grocery retail chain for small towns SuperK on Thursday said it has raised Rs 6 crore in seed funding for expanding its infrastructure, improving technology and hiring talent led by Strive venture capital.
     Besides Strive VC, the funding saw participation from Firstcheque, Ramakant Sharma and Syndicate, serial entrepreneur Srinivas Anumolu, Anand Chandrasekaran (ex-Snapdeal CPO/Facebook Director), Lalit Keshre (CEO at Groww), Rajan Bajaj (CEO at Slice), Sampad Swain (CEO at Instamojo), and many more veterans from the start-up ecosystem, the company said in a statement.
     Grocery retail is a USD 600 billion market in India and small towns (tier II and below) account for 80 per cent of the grocery market but only 2 per cent is currently with organised retail chains.

Apparel brand Beyoung to invest USD 3.3 mn in FY22 for expansion
* Youth apparel start-up Beyoung on Thursday said it is planning to invest USD 3.3 million for expansion of sales and adding over 150 employees in 2021-22.
     “Talents from most of the tier III cities migrate to tier I in the job search. Being an entrepreneur and understanding the job struggles of people, I thought of expanding the myriad of opportunities, not only for me but for many.
     “The hiring of more employees is, thus, a milestone for our team. For this, the company is to generate opportunities for over 150 employees by 2022 and cross over 750 by 2024," Beyoung founder and Chief Executive Officer Shivam Soni said in a statement. PTI SR SM
