HCL s TechBee Programme offers early career opportunities to 12th pass out students in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 11 (PTI) HCL has launched in<br>Kerala its early career programme TechBee, a work-integrated<br>higher education programme which contributes to the Skill<br>India mission of the government.<br>     Students also earn a degree from leading universities<br>that HCL has partnered with as part of this programme, HCL<br>Technologies Corporate Vice President Srimathi Shivashankar<br>said.<br>      The programme offers IT engineering jobs by equipping<br>the students with future-ready skills and prepares them<br>technically and professionally for entry-level IT jobs in HCL<br>where candidates undergo an extensive 12-month training to<br>become software engineers.<br>     After becoming full-time employees at HCL, they can<br>pursue higher education by enrolling in the graduation degree<br>programmes offered by reputed universities such as BITS Pilani<br>and SASTRA University.<br>     Shivashankar said the TechBee programme has benefitted<br>more than 3,000 students by creating employment as well as<br>helping them pursue higher education.<br>   HCL started the programme in 2016 aiming to hire the<br>best talent and enable them achieve financial independence at<br>the start of their career.<br>     The programmeassures full-time jobs to students who have<br>completed class XII. Those who get selected for TechBee would<br>also be entitled to a stipend of Rs 10,000 during the<br>internship in live HCL projects, she said.<br>      The fees for the higher education was partially or fully<br>funded by HCL depending on the graduation programme, she<br>added.
