India's star paddler Archana Girish Kamath, 24, has quit table tennis.
Archana was a key member of the Indian women’s table tennis team that reached the quarterfinals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
An Economics graduate, Archana said she retired to pursue academics in the US.
Archana's brother works in NASA.
In 2022, Archana, alongside Manika Batra, rose to the No. 4 spot in the women’s doubles world rankings.
Her first national recognition came in 2018 when she came fourth at the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires.
