It's the summer holidays, which means, the kids have a lot of free time on their hands. Fun family movies are a great way to spend time with the kids. Here are five upcoming movies that are perfect for some family-friendly fun.

The Garfield Movie

The famous lasagna-loving cat returns in this film directed by Mark Dindal. The latest addition to the anthology shows us the origin story of the relationship between Garfield and his human John Arbuckle. It also features Garfield’s father Vic. The comedy film starring Samuel Jackson, Chris Pratt and Hannah Waddingham releases on May 24.

The Fall Guy

Actor Tom goes missing from the sets of the movie, which is being directed by Jody. When Jody has no other option but to scrap her directorial debut, Colt, her ex-boyfriend and action choreographer steps in to find Tom and save the movie. His attempt to succeed from the rest of the movie. Starring Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt and Aaron Taylor Johnson in lead roles, this comedy film directed by David Leitch hits theatres on May 3.

Inside Out 2

As Riley gets older so do her emotions. Will Anxiety, Embarrassment, Ennui, Envy and Nostalgia take over the 'command centre' or will Joy, Anxiety, Disgust, Fear and Sadness prevail? Directed by Kelsey Mann and starring Maya Hawke, Amy Poehler, Lewis Black, Tony Hale and Liza Lapira, Inside Out 2 hits the theatres on June 14.

IF

Bea wakes up realizing that she can see imaginary creatures, known as Ifs. Then she meets Cal, who has the same power. How Cal and Bea lend a hand to these Ifs form the plot. Starring Ryan Reynolds, and Cailey Fleming, the movie directed by John Krasinski is set for a worldwide release on May 17, 2024.

Unfrosted

This Jerry Seinfield-directed comedy, set in 1963 Michigan revolves around the cut-throat competition between Kellogs and Post Cereal to create the iconic breakfast food, the pop tart. Starring Seinfeld, Melissa McCarthy, Amy Schumer and James Marsden among others, the film will be released on Netflix on May 3, 2024.
