Germany officially unveiled its next-generation Leopard 2A8 main battle tank (MBT)
The unveiling took place at KNDS Deutschland plant in Munich on November 19, 2025
The tank measures 8.05 meters in hull length (11.17 meters with gun forward), 3.8 meters in width, and 2.72 meters in turret height, Defence Security Asia said in a report
It maintains a combat weight of approximately 69.5 tonnes
The 2A8 retains the traditional four-man crew — commander, gunner, loader, and driver
The Leopard 2A8, priced at approximately €20 million per unit (around $21.7 million)
