Backing up and transferring your data and important files is almost always something we should be aware of. Whether it's our memories or those ever-important documents, the more devices you have, the more things you might have to keep a backup of. Sandisk Extreme Fit is a USB Type-C flash drive that attaches to your device's Type-C port to take backups or for quick data transfers.
The word Extreme in the name isn't there just for the sake of it. The flash drive weighs just 3 grams and takes up almost the same space as three 5-rupee coins stacked on top of each other (while weighing less). It really has that small a footprint. It's so small that you might even misplace it or just forget it in one place, and won't be able to spot it.
There's the USB Type-C port on one side and a plastic rectangular board with the Sandisk branding on the other side, with the drive itself sandwiched in between. That's about it.
Equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, I tried the Extreme Fit's 512GB model. Using the drive for transferring files, it generally clocked around 380mbps, which is close to what Sandisk advertises, while read speeds stand around 180mbps, which is considerably lower.
Importantly, there was no instance of any files missing or any errors thrown while copying a small PDF or a large video file. You can use it to play videos or open documents straight from the disk without having to transfer them, if needed, and it should handle it well. It worked reliably across Android, Windows and iOS when I tried.
In nutshell, the plug and play or transfer convenience of the Sandisk Extreme Fit definitely counts. It's small, light and does the job of transferring files or taking backups.
