A new book by a royal historian has shed light on the friendship between US President Donald Trump and British royal Prince Andrew, despite Trump's public denial of knowing Andrew. The book titled
‘Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York’, penned by royal writer and historian Andrew Lownie, traces the lives of Prince Andrew and his former wife, Sarah Ferguson.
Lownie details that the Prince attended a party at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago country club in Palm Beach along with disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell. Andrew also played a round of golf with Trump during the visit. It is also said that there is a photograph of the duo playing golf.
The book claims that Trump later attended model/businesswoman Heidi Klum’s Halloween costume party, at which Trump was quoted as saying of Andrew: “He’s not pretentious. He’s a lot of fun to be with.” Lownie also claims that they became good friends and were overheard discussing Trump’s plans for a golfing complex in Scotland. The historian claims they were heard making obscene remarks, and Trump even produced a list of masseuses for Prince Andrew.
Another investigative book, ‘Epstein: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ by Dylan Howard, also published an image of Trump hosting Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Prince Andrew at his Mar-a-Lago resort on February 12, 2000. Trump’s future wife, Melania Trump, is also pictured at the gathering.
Last week, Trump claimed that he fell out with Epstein after he “stole” employees of Mar-a-Lago spa, which included Prince Andrew’s accuser, Virginia Giuffre. "I don't know. I think she worked at the spa. I think so. I think that was one of the people. He stole her," Trump told reporters. "And by the way, she had no complaints about us, as you know, none whatsoever." Giuffre, who later became a sex trafficking advocate, died by suicide earlier this year. Prince Andrew reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre, though he claims to have not been charged with any criminal offences.
