New York-based plastic surgeon Dr David M. Pincus on Wednesday slammed sexual harassment allegations levelled by a former employee, vowing to fight her claims legally.
However, the doctor has not responded to the allegations by two of his patients, one of whom accused him of performing an unauthorised "vagina lift" and another one who alleged that her post-surgery infection worsened after the doctor failed to treat her on time.
The ex-employee, Jaclyn Riker, had in September 2024 filed a lawsuit against the doctor, alleging that he touched her breasts after performing a breast augmentation surgery. She also alleged that he lifted her skirt and commanded her to call him "daddy" and straddle on his lap.
"I can touch them (her breasts) whenever I want," the woman quoted the plastic surgeon as telling her in the lawsuit. "I created you, and I own you."
In response to her claims, Dr Pincus has filed a defamation lawsuit against his former employee. Dismissing her claims, the surgeon told THE WEEK, "The allegations made by my former employee, Jaclyn Riker, are baseless and unequivocally false. My legal team (The Carman Law Office) has filed a defamation lawsuit against Ms. Riker for these malicious claims."
"Over 17 individuals have come forward to refute these accusations, and I am confident that the truth will prevail. I have treated over 7,000 patients throughout my career and have always upheld the highest ethical and professional standards. I remain committed to delivering safe, world-class care to my patients and will fully cooperate with legal proceedings to ensure justice is served," Dr Pincus added.
However, Riker is not the only person who came forward against Dr Pincus. His former patient, Vanessa Soda, approached him for a tummy tuck procedure. However, following her surgery, Soda learned that the doctor performed a vagina lift procedure on her. He claimed that she had "a very low vagina, so I had to lift it up."
The woman told the New York Post that she decided to go with Dr Pincus as he had five-star ratings on the Internet. She also accused Pincus of sexually harassing her, saying it's "great to see her boobs again".
Besides these two lawsuits, a third one was filed by another patient in 2024. Michelle Armstrong alleged that she developed an infection following a breast reduction surgery in 2022. She added that the infection deteriorated due to lack of timely treatment.
