The defence intelligence of the UK on Monday said that Russia and Ukraine are fighting to gain control of a key highway that could disrupt supplies to Russian frontline in Kremina.

In its report, the British intelligence said, “Russian and Ukrainian forces have probably been fighting for control of the P66 highway, north of the Russian-held Luhansk Oblast town of Kremina.” They added, “The P66 is a key supply route for the northern section of Russia’s Donbas front from the Belgorod region of Russia.”

The intel said that Ukrainian forces disrupted its use since October. However, the report said that if Ukraine was successful in gaining control of the route, it could undermine Russia's defence. “If Ukraine were able to secure the route, it would highly likely further undermine Russia’s defence of Kremina,” they said.
