Russian President Vladimir Putin's ally and oligarch Ivan Pechorin's body was found in Vladivostok. He fell off a boat at full speed and died on Saturday, September 10, near Russky Island in the Sea of Japan in Primorsky Krai, Russia, near Vladivostock.

39-year-old Pechorin was managing director of the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic. According to Komsomolskaya Pravda, Pechorin worked under Putin. Pechorin last made a public appearance at the Eastern Economic Forum, held from September 5 to 8 in Vladivostok.

"On September 12, 2022, it became known about the tragic death of our colleague, Ivan Pechorin, Managing Director for the Aviation Industry of the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic," reads a statement from the company published, CNN reported.

At least eight prominent Russian businessmen have so far mysteriously died by accident or by suicide since Russia Invaded Ukraine in February. Of these, six of them had links to either Lukoil or Gazprom.

Pechorin's death follows that of Ravil Maganov, 67, an oil tycoon and former head of Russia's second-largest oil company, Lukoil. Maganov fell to his death from the sixth-floor window of a hospital in Moscow.
