Russia’s President Vladimir Putin exited his first meeting with US President Joe Biden with two memorable gifts. One of them was a pair of custom aviator sunglasses, worn by the US Army. The iconic aviators are named ‘Concorde’ after the 20th-century supersonic aircraft. They are priced at $279 and are made in a small town in the northeastern state of Massachusetts.

The sunglasses made by Randolph USA, have been provided to America’s NATO allies as well. So, the gesture of Biden presenting them to Putin is of great significance, as it comes at the heels of the NATO summit, that concluded on June 14, where Biden urged western allies to better align themselves against Russia and China, CNN reports.

Joe Biden, known to be wearing the sunglasses, has often been parodied over them. Biden even kept the sunglasses on when he recently met with Queen Elizabeth II.

Biden also gifted Putin a crystal sculpture of an American bison made by a New York-based glass company-- Steuben Glass. The American bison is the national mammal of the US. The bison sculpture gifted to Putin has a custom engraved inscription plaque. At the summit, the leaders came to a joint decision to return each country's ambassador to their post.
