Joe Biden continues addressing campaign rally in Florida despite rain

Election 2020 Biden

Both Joe Biden and President Donald Trump held rallies in Florida, with just three days left for the US elections. Both candidates urged supporters to get to polling places in person, even as a tropical storm interrupted early voting in the Southeast.

“You hold the power. If Florida gets blue, it’s over,” Biden said at the rally. Both former vice president Biden and President Trump visited Florida’s Interstate 4 corridor, known for suburbs that have rapidly grown, with its status as an ever-changing, hard-fought battleground during presidential elections.

The rain started pouring as he was addressing a drive-in rally. He continued to talk and jogged for sheer only when the downpour got heavy. He had to cut down his speech at the gathering at Florida State Fairground in Tampa halfway though.

Democratic supporters posted pictures and videos of Biden talking on despite the rain. A few of them captioned the image as, “So can we retire the idea that @JoeBiden is not campaigning hard???”

"The storm will pass, a new day will come," Biden captioned his photo with these words and posted it on. It was retweeted 14,000 times. One user tweeted that he had voted despite the rains. His caption read, “Voted today in the pouring rain. Biden all the way!"

“Joe Biden finishes speech in Tampa today in the rain and then jogs off of the stage. Another thing Joe can do that Trump can’t because (orange emoji) is too scared to get his hair wet,” wrote another user.
