Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
"This afternoon I felt a slight fever and immediately quarantined myself at home. I have now tested positive for Covid 19. By the grace of Allah, I feel strong and energetic. I will continue to carry on my duties from home. Please keep me in your prayers," Qureshi tweeted.

The foreign minister is the latest politician to contract the virus; earlier National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid and PPP leader Saeed Ghani all tested positive.
Pakistan had over 223,000 cases of COVID-19 as of Friday, and had suffered 4,592 deaths.
