An American woman who arrived in Pakistan created a ruckus by lying down on the floor of the Islamabad airport when officials tried to deport her.
Maude Murray, a 70-year-old from Washington, reached Islamabad on a PIA (Pakistan International Airlines) flight from Manchester.
Murray who was allegedly blacklisted by Pakistan authorities lied down on the airport floor in protest.
According to sources, Murray visited Pakistan in 2001 on a six-month visa, but overstayed even after visa expired. She returned home only in 2013 and was therefore blacklisted.
The US embassy in Islamabad was called to resolve the issue, reported local Pakistani media. Early this year, another American woman, Sonia Sita was deported for arriving in Pakistan without a visa.
