Reacting furiously to Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell comment on the risks posed by US-China trade war, President Donald Trump asked whether his appointee to the US central bank was a greater "enemy" than China's leader Xi.

Further, Trump, in a series of tweets, said the US lost trillions of dollars to China over the years and claimed that “ They have stolen our intellectual property at a rate of hundreds of billions of dollars.”

He said the United States does not need China and can be better of without them.

Trump said he will soon respond to China's tariffs and pointed out that the economy of the US is much larger than that of China.
