Merkel: G20 to sign climate deal similar to previous meet

The deal will have similar text to the Argentina one, said Merkel

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the G20 would sign a deal similar to the Argentina climate change one, where the United States was isolated.

"We will have a similar text to Argentina. A 19+1 declaration," she told reporters on the sidelines of a G20 meeting in Osaka.

At the 2018 Beunos Aires G20 meeting, leaders whose countries had signed up to the Paris agreement, had committed to full implementation to limit climate change.

The German Chancellor had appeared to be unsteady just two days ago — second time in just over a week. She had her arms across her chest while her body trembled. Merkel was offered a glass of water, but refused it.
