Russian head of the state, Vladimir Putin has been known to keep his family life off the radar as much as possible. For the longest time, the administration has fought hard to keep details of his family like his children's names under the wraps.

Putin's long-time girlfriend, Alina Kabaeva recently gave birth to twin boys. The former 36-year-old gymnast, Kabaeva, is an Olympic gold medal winner and has been Putin’s partner for a long time, according to media reports. The former Russian lawmaker now heads a national media group.

Three decades younger than Putin, she is said to have given birth to a daughter in 2008. Putin's marriage with his first wife, former flight attendant Lyudmila Shkrebneva ended in 2013. The couple have two daughters.

Putin in the past has denied a relationship with Kabaeva.
