Kulbhushan Jadhav case: Mystery over Pakistan ICJ judge's health Tassaduq Hussain Jillani

Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, the Pakistani judge who was to be sworn in as adhoc judge for the Jadhav case, has taken ill and won't be sitting for the hearing on Monday. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance after reporting sick in the morning.

Jillani's family said that he has severe flu, denying reports that he had suffered a heart attack. He has been advised to take rest. It is not yet confirmed whether Jillani would be sworn in and sitting for subsequent hearings of the case.

Jillani, who is known as a “gentleman’s judge”, served as the chief justice of Pakistan for a year. He was to be sworn in on Monday to the International Court of Justice as Pakistan doesn't have a judge of its nationality on the bench in the Jadhav case hearing.
