However, no causalities or damages have been reported as yet, after the earthquake hit the country's North Slope,CNN reported.

At 7:14 am, a magnitude 5.1 earthquake hit another area in northern Alaska. According to USGS data and the earthquake centre, several strong aftershocks were also felt following the quake.

The Alaska Earthquake Center (AEC) says the earthquakes were felt across the eastern part of the state's North Slope Borough and as far south as metro Fairbanks. The center adds that there are no reports of damage.
