Bayern Munich have told Liverpool how much it will cost them to get French winger Michael Olise. According to reports, the Bundesliga champions have told Arne Slot's manager that they will have to pay at least £100 million for their man, who many reports have said is the frontrunner to become the influential Mohamed Salah's replacement at Anfield.

Bayern are in no mood to let the 23-year-old go and the asking price may keep going up with time, Football Insider said in a report. Olise is familiar with the Premier League as he represented Crystal Palace before reaching German shores to play for the Bavarians. The Frenchman, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, was born in England and grew up in London. He honed his skills in the academies of English clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City, before joining Reading's academy in 2017. His breakthrough season came in 2020-21 when he won the EFL Young Player of the Season award. Soon, he moved to Crystal Palace in 2021, and completed a permanent transfer to Bayern Munich in 2024 for a reported £50.8 million (including add-ons).

Liverpool see Olise as the ideal successor to the 33-year-old Mohamed Salah. They are seeking a left-footed player on the right wing who likes to cut inside. Olise is technically sound and fast, making him an excellent option to be the Egyptian King's successor on the right flank. Salah, who recently inked a new contract, will be free to leave Anfield in summer 2027. The ageing warhorse is heavily linked to a switch to Saudi Arabia for some time now and there is a realistic chance that Liverpool would consider selling their talismanic man next season if a deal satisfying all parties arises. In that case, having Olise in their ranks would help them to avoid tricky situations up front.
This summer, Liverpool already broke the £100 million mark twice, first to get Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for £116 million before sealing the Alexander Isak deal with Newcastle United for a British record £125 million.
