Bangladesh notched up an impressive six-wicket win against Pakistan in the second Test in Rawalpindi, to complete a historic Test series sweep. Chasing 185 to win the second Test, Bangladesh romped home in 56 overs, with veterans Shakib Al Hasan (21*) and Mushfiqur Rahim (22*) seeing their team home.
The visitors won the first Test by 10 wickets—it was also their first Test win against Pakistan. Bangladesh last won a bilateral Test series of two or more Tests away from home, in 2009 against the West Indies.
Rain had halted the visitors' march on day 4, but it could not deny them the famous win today.
Pakistan had their chances – when they chose not to review an edge of Zakir Hasan (40) off Mohammad Ali, and when Salman Ali Agha dropped Shadman Islam (24) in the slips – but the gritty visitors prevailed.

Agha, however, was among the runs in their first innings, helping Pakistan to 274, with a well-made 54. Mehidy Hasan Miraz took 5/61.
In reply, Bangladesh were dismissed for 262, raising Pakistan's hopes. In fact, Bangladesh were tottering at 26/6, before Litton Das (138) and Miraz (78) put up daring rescue act.
In the second innings, Pakistan were blown away by Hasan Mahmud (5/43) and Nahid Rana (4/44), as the duo helped Bangladesh skittle out the home team for 172. Agha (47*) and Mohammad Rizwan (43) found little support from the other Pakistani batters.
Bangladesh and Pakistan are at the No. 7 and No. 8 positions in the World Test Championship standings.
