The second One-Day International between India and New Zealand being held at Seddon Park on Sunday has been interrupted due to rain.

India was 22 for no loss in 4.5 overs when showers stopped the match for the first time. Shubhman Gill was opening (19) with skipper Shikhar Dhawan (2) when the skies opened up.

Though the play resumed later after a four-hour rain delay, the match was reduced to 29-overs-a-side. However, the showers once again interrupted the match when India's  score was 89/1 in the 13th over. Suryakumar Yadav, who came in after Dhawan lost his wicket, built the score with Gill.

On winning the toss, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson elected to bowl against India.

This is a must-win game for India as the host nation is leading the three-match series 0-1.  New Zealand had won the Auckland game by seven wickets, thanks to Tom Latham's 145 not out off 104 balls. Kiwis chased a target of 307 runs against India in the first ODI.

While Deepak Hooda and Deepak Chahar have replaced Sanju Samson and Shardul Thakur in the playing XI, New Zealand has replaced Adam Milne with Michael Bracewell.

Teams:

India: Shikhar Dhawan (C), Shubhman Gill, Rishabh Pant (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Washington Sundar, Deepak Chahar, Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal.

New Zealand: Kane Williamson (C), Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham (wk), Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Michael Bracewell, Matt Henry, Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson.
